Program Details
What discount is included in the program?
Preferred Business members receive a 10% discount* at all of our brands when shopping online, at our retails stores or with our dedicated Business Representative.
*Terms and Conditions: Discount is not valid with any other offer, coupon or discount, on Outlet purchases, purchase of sale item at Williams-Sonoma stores, purchase of gift cards or promotional items, gift wrap, shipping and processing fees, or taxes. The Preferred Business discount cannot be sold or otherwise bartered. This discount is available online, in stores or by faxing your order to (702) 360-7171 or emailing businesssalesmain@wsgc.com. For assistance with ordering, call Dedicated Business Line at (800) 838-2589. Outside the US, please call 702-360-7147. We reserve the right to change the list of items not eligible for the Preferred Business discount at our sole discretion without prior notice. Membership is not transferable. A membership card can only be used by the named card holder. The named card holder must present his/her valid membership card and valid photo identification in person to receive the trade discount at time of purchase. Misuse of membership may result in membership termination. Misuse includes, without limitation: use of the trade discount for personal purchases, any resale of merchandise purchased using the trade discount through any retail outlet (e.g., resale on or through any retail or auction Web site or store), reimbursement of trade discount upon merchandise return, transfer of membership, allowing others to use the membership card (e.g., sharing the card with a client), and submitting false, expired or misleading information in connection with a membership application.
What credentials are required to become a Preferred Business member?
Preferred Business applicant must be a member of one of the following industries: Home Builder, Hospitality, Purchasing Agent. To apply, you must submit an application along with each of the following:
- Business card stating your profession
- US Business License
- Receipt of purchase of $2,500 in merchandise from a Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brand
Once I have faxed in my membership application, when will I receive my membership card?
Membership in the Preferred Business Program is contingent upon (i) receipt of appropriate credentials, (ii) a receipt from an initial purchase totaling at least $2,500 in merchandise, and (iii) a completed application. Once we have processed your completed application, you will receive a confirmation email that will grant you access to all program benefits until your membership card arrives in the mail within 4-6 weeks. Use of your membership card is subject at all times to terms* of the Preferred Business program.
For how long is my membership valid?
Your membership with the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Preferred Business program is valid for 2 years. After 2 years, registered members must renew their membership to receive a new membership ID card.
My membership card is expiring soon. What should I do?
You should receive renewal instruction automatically 2 to 3 months before your membership expiration. If your card is expiring and you have not received any renewal communication, please contact us a dedicated Trade Representative at 888-837-4888 or BusinessSalesMain@wsgc.com to update your information. How do I update my account?

How can I cancel my program membership?
To cancel your membership to the Preferred Business Program, please call (888) 837-4888 and speak to a Trade Representative or email BusinessSalesMain@wsgc.com with the words "Cancel membership" in the subject line and supply your name, membership ID number, email address and mailing address in the body of the email. Please dispose of your membership card promptly.
Is the Preferred Business program valid at Outlet locations?
The Preferred Business program is neither valid nor recognized at Outlet locations.
Does the Preferred Business program discount apply to purchases made in Canada?
Yes, you can use your Preferred Business membership card to receive the trade discount at all Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, west elm, and Williams-Sonoma retail stores in Canada.

How do I place an order or receive a quote?
Registered members of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Preferred Business program can purchase online, or at any of our retail locations. Order and quote requests can also be sent via fax to (702) 360-7167 or email to BusinessSalesMain@wsgc.com.
Orders may take up to 24 to 48 hours to process and quotes may take up to 3 to 5 business days.
How do I receive my trade discount when shopping in a retail store?
Registered members of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Preferred Business program should present their Preferred Business card and photo ID to the Sales Associate at time of purchase.
How do I receive my discount when shopping online?
Registered members of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Preferred Business Program can shop online and receive special trade pricing and applicable tax exemption by beginning their shopping session here. For more information, visit How To Shop Online.
How do I pay for my order?
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, wire transfers or company checks. If you wish to pay by company check, we can provide you with a pro forma invoice. All orders must be pre-paid.
Do you charge tax?
Sales tax (including applicable local taxes) applies to all states except the following: Alaska (AK), Delaware (DE), Montana (MT), New Hampshire (NH) and Oregon (OR). If you have a reseller's license and wish to be exempt from sales tax at our store locations, please present a copy of your Tax Exempt certificate at the time of purchase. If you wish to receive tax exemption for fax or online orders, you will need to submit a signed Resale Certificate or Permit for each state in which you seek exemption. How will I know that I received my trade discount?
The price reflected in your order confirmation is net of the trade discount.
Can I order merchandise for international delivery?
At this time, Williams-Sonoma, inc. shops only to locations within the United States.

What is your return policy?
We will gladly issue a refund, less any applicable shipping charges and/or restocking fees, for any product with which you are not fully satisfied. Shipping and Tracking
How long will it take to receive my order?
Shipping time differs by product and delivery method. For the most accurate shipping estimate, call a dedicated Trade Representative at (888) 837-4888, refer to a brand-specific catalog or inquire with an Associate at one of our retail locations.
How do I track my order?
Your order becomes available for tracking online 24 hours after it is placed. To learn the status of your order, please visit the brand's website. You can also contact a dedicated Trade Representative at (888) 837-4888 or BusinessSalesMain@wsgc.com with your order number.
Can you process special shipping requests?
If you have any special shipping requirements, please call a dedicated Business Representative at (800) 838-2589 or email BusinessSalesMain@wsgc.com prior to placing your order. Special shipping requirements cannot be requested for online orders.
Product Information
Do you offer Fabric, Wood and Rug swatches?
We offer complimentary fabric swatches from our Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and Williams-Sonoma Home brands. You can also request wood and rug swatches from Pottery Barn for a fee of $25; refund will be issued if swatches are returned within 30 days.

Does Williams-Sonoma, Inc. and its brands rent or loan furniture?
Currently, the program does not provide for rent, loan or rental of furnishings.
Does Williams-Sonoma Inc. offer commercially graded merchandise?
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. products are designed, manufactured and tested for residential use only.
How do I remove my name from your mailing list?
